 New PowerMac prices? That's crazygonuts!
Apple tried sneaking one by us and released some updated equipment today. That wily Steve!

First off, they revamped their lineup of LCD displays. Available displays are:

• 17" Studio Display for $699
• 20" Cinema Display for $1299
• 23" Cinema Display for $1999

Also, the PowerMac line was totally shaken up and prices were reduced dramatically. The biggest changes were that the speeds now start at 1Ghz and tops out at dual 1.42GHz processors with the middle model at dual 1.25Ghz. Other changes include FireWire 800 and Bluetooth capability (note - you have to buy your own Bluetooth card).

With a $200 price cut on the low-end, $500 on the mid-range and $600 on the high-end, this is a very aggressive move by Apple.

 Deep Thoughts
To us, it might look like just a rag. But to the brave, embattled men of the fort, it was more than that. It was a flag of surrender. And after that, it was torn up and used for shoe-shine rags, so the men would look nice for the surrender.
