Happy MacWorld Expo Eve! |
|
Well the big shindig is tomorrow, and whether you'll be there in person or will be watching via webcast, there are sure to be plenty of surprises. At least, we hope there will be plenty of surprises, because according to most news/rumor sites, Apple ain't got much this time around. Now, that may be because of the Apple's (er sorry, I meant IDG's) recent blacklisting of rumor sites, but info about tomorrow's festivities is very thin.
So let's assume for now that Apple wasn't able to slip one by the rumor scavengers and lay out what Big Steve will be presenting tomorrow:
1. New iPod's with 20GB hard drives
2. 17" iMacs
3. iTools rebranded as .Mac (~shudder~)
4. Jaguar preview
Now, there may be more, like a G4 versus Pentium 4 bakeoff (Not really likely though, that's been done before - more than once!) an in-depth look at Apple's new "Switch" ad campaign (A good campaign, but not something expo-goers want to see) or Steve may read us the entire Emancipation Proclamation. While that latter one may be exciting, none of the aforementioned are gonna keep me glued to my seat.
Apple's current product lineup is also fairly up to date, with the exception of the PowerMac G4's - and just about every Mac site will tell ya that those won't be updated until early August, when the Crystal Clear Savings promotion ends. You never know though, Steve's been known to pull rabbit's out of hats more than once, and the past few (hell the past year and a half or so) have held very little surprises - so perhaps this one will make up for them? Maybe Apple has been saving up all the surprises of the past 7 expos for TOMORROW!
Here's to hoping! |

Instead of burning a guy at the stake, what about burning him at the STILTS? It probably lasts longer, plus it moves around.
