Today in Mac News 10/28 |
|
Today is a really slow news day, and I have a costume party to go to, so today's episode is brodcasting super-early style. But hey, this makes for a full week of episodes, so we are off to a good start, no?
-Well, this is Halloween weekend, so I figured I would start things off by showing you my Halloween Costume for work and giving you a link to some really neat looking pumpkins with Apple themed shapes carved in them. Happy Halloween everybody, now go out there and steal some kid's candy, and egg houses! |

-Most of the programs that convert video to be used on the iPod require QuickTime Pro, but who wants to pay $30 to convert video? Well here is an Apple Script that converts video and only requires the free version of QuickTime. Because paying to convert the porn you downloaded for free, is like scoring with your cousin. The end results may be the same, but it just isn't right, dude.
-A couple months ago Henrico county middle school sold iBooks for $50, and a riot ensued. Well now the high school (which currently has iBooks) is restarting it's laptop bidding, I hope they will stay with Apples, but I am more interested in how they go about selling these notebooks. My favorite line from the sale: "I took my chair here and I threw it over my shoulder and I went, 'Bam,'" HA HA HA!!!
-A former Apple executive is writing a book on his experience with Steve Jobs, and offering it for free as he writes it on Writers Block Live It's a great first had look at who Steve Jobs really is, and what he has on there so far is an interesting read.
Well, that is it for today, have a good weekend everybody, see you on Monday!

Deep Thoughts |

As we were driving, we saw a sign that said "Watch for Rocks." Marta said it should read "Watch for Pretty Rocks." I told her she should write in her suggestion to the highway department, but she started saying it was a joke - just to get out of writing a simple letter! And I thought I was lazy!
