The heliodisplay just might change the way we compute in the next few years. This thing is really cool. It's an interactive "floating" display. Like the Death Star image from Star Wars. Take a look - it's the neatest technology I've seen in a while.

I want one!!! That would be so cool as long as the resolution and screen quality are awesome as well.

Reminds me of Minority report as well. Very cool stuff! Been waiting for something like this since I was a kid :)
I remember reading a while back that a company was working on holographic technology for videoconferencing, and they actually had something working - and this was over 6 months ago, so I wonder where they're at with it now!??
It won't be long b4 we have the holo-Mac! &8^)

yeah. while Microsuck is pitter pattering about getting their products into movies, apple will have halographic comps and lighter than air ipods that can download music from apples very own satelites. Which will immediatly cause microsuck to launch their own satelites and create a lighter that weight ipod-wannabe, then say it is their original idea.

LOL
I don't know. I noticed it yesterday, and it was a HUGE picture that streched the page out. I took it into photoshop and cropped it some and then uploaded it and set it as your image.
I assumed you set that originally at some point - I don't know who else would have! :-

"Air comes into the device, is ejected and illuminated using a proprietary technique in which the photons and air produce the image."
If you sneeze you may just miss the big play.

now all that we need is The Star Wars Kid to demonstrate the power of this device.

I saw a bottle of shampoo that had on the back of it's label, "This Product Has Not Been Tested On Animals." Great, another thing they've left up to the consumer to take care of.
