 I Love My Mac
"I Love My Mac!!"

We hear this phrase a lot in the Mac Community and many of us even said it once or twice ourselves.

Working on my Mac makes me feel relaxed. I don’t have my antivirus software popping up and telling me my definitions are 10 minutes old and to please update before I touch another key on my keyboard. I don't have spyware that sporadically displays multi-popups on my desktop without any notice. No - I have a high powered machine that will allow me to get my work done so I can do other things like sit and watch TV … or eat fried foods … or even watch the new emails from Strongbad.

Odd enough most people who use Windows don’t like using their computer at all. "It's too complicated", or "I can’t get it to do what I want it to do" is what is often said.  Some people even believe that they have to go to school to learn how to check their email.  But people still insist that Microsoft is superior to anything else out there until they use a Mac. After the first day of using a Mac, a person is excited to use a computer again, and after five days the same person will never want to go back using a Windows computer again.

I once let a woman use my iBook for a week until she got her Windows machine back from the repair work that she needed to get done. After four days of using my iBook, she didn’t want the Windows computer - she wanted to keep my iBook (I almost had to resort to Kung-Fu to get my iBook back).   But the story has a good ending: She bought a new Mac for Christmas and she tells me every day she loves it.

The point is I don't know why a person who uses a Wintel machine has hatred towards the Mac Community?  Is it because they think we're snobby people who look down on them and laugh and say "HAHA silly Windows users"? (OK!  So we do laugh at you ... a lot, and say silly Windows users, and then laugh some more) Or is it the fact we're not sheep and we don’t graze with the flock, or is it that we won't let a great company die so that Wintel users can laugh and say "haha we told you that Apple won’t survive".

But guess what, Apple has survived for 20 years, and will for another 20 and then another 20. Why? Because Apple makes great products. So before you start hating Macs or Mac users, and before your anger towards computers boils to the point of explosion, sit down and relax with a nice cool Apple.

No It's because you guys lie too mutch...Like saying

"Odd enough most people who use Windows don’t like using their computer at all. "It's too complicated", or "I can’t get it to do what I want it to do" is what is often said."

Where the hell would you get information like that? other than the biased voices you surround yourself with...

I like macs...But I'm not a mac user...

SteinAuf 1/12/04, 1:34 PM EDT
I used Windows and Macs for over 10 years. I think that's long enough to say that Windows stresses me out much more than Mac.

Delvo 1/12/04, 2:00 PM EDT
10 years...WOW...who cares..

So what you're saying is your case applies to everyone...?

I love the worlds first, fastest stuff..
Aint that the truth....

Jonahan 1/12/04, 2:04 PM EDT
I dunno Delvo, I've heard hundreds of people tell me that they hate computers or that "computers have minds of their own". Not one of them was talking about a Mac.

Mac users (more often that not) love their computers and as we've said countless times before, that's why sites such as this exist. We don't get paid to do this, ya know! We don't even have any (paying) ads.

So, yes we are biased - we like Macs. But I don't think rlhamon was wrong in what he said. But then, you were probably trolling anyway ;)

Delvo 1/12/04, 2:07 PM EDT
Trolling...no...Just disgusted by propaganda..and lies...

ZackMac 1/12/04, 2:07 PM EDT
Delvo: HAHA you silly Windows user!

Delvo 1/12/04, 2:09 PM EDT
Windows..huh...you assume....

Self-Employed Guy 1/12/04, 2:16 PM EDT
I always wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Windows to all of my competition.
B-)
You should too!

Delvo 1/12/04, 2:22 PM EDT
I always reccomend something that actually serves a purpose..other than slowing down the face of computing as we know it...

Pedro Vera 1/12/04, 2:37 PM EDT
Actually, I say it every day. I am a card-carrying Microsoft dot-whore, yet I switched to Mac last year and never looked back. I still write code for MS platforms, but I do it from a Titanium Powerbook. What pisses me off is that I cannot stand Windows as a workstation, but I love it as a server. You just have to make sure the damn thing is posted.

I spent the last year preaching the Mac way to some of my friends, and one of them got fed up one day with his POS windows box and overnight decided to get an iBook. This guy IMs me every frickin night, and before he even says hi, he says "I love a mac." This is my most bitter and ironic friend, a man that has no good word for anyone, but if you ask him about his mac, he totally switches gears and sounds pleased as hell.

The pop-up hell/10-minute virus definition thing is no joke, it is exactly what my wife is going thru with her Dell. Her next pc is going to be an iBook.

Jonathan 1/12/04, 2:55 PM EDT
Riiiiight, recommending Windows dosen't slow down the face of computing .. Wait when is LongHorn due out again .. 2010?

Jonathan 1/12/04, 3:01 PM EDT
Oh, by the way that macs-suck site is filled with more lies than the government.

HTML Samurai 1/12/04, 3:10 PM EDT
Just remember, not all Intel/AMD based machines are bad, just those running Windows! And not all Windows users hate using Windows, just those not willing to try something different - out of fear, uncertainty, or maybe even doubt. ;-)

Jonahan 1/12/04, 3:12 PM EDT
Ackk... reading Delvo's comments is like listening to the Iraqi Information Minister: "The Americans have NOT taken over, we wiped the place of them. We are in complete control! The red box in front of you is not a red box at all, but actually a giant lizard. 2 + 2 does NOT equal 4, it equals bananas."

:-p

Delvo 1/12/04, 3:15 PM EDT
The truth hurts doesn't it.Show me where the proposed lies are,and I might believe you...as for now your site is the one filled with lies and no information to back even your lies up.

Windows Sucks...so do macs...Macs just might suck a little more..

You guys keep putting this Windows thing down peoples mouths like thats the only choice...Put Linux on a mac...any mac and the true colors shine..the machine itself is lame...

sweetjimmyhugs 1/12/04, 3:21 PM EDT
If loving the best looking, fastest, easiest to use computers in the world is wrong then I don't want to be right. As far as rlhamon's comment that Apple will be around in 20 years, I scoff. The world is going to end in eight or nine years, so to say that Apple will be around in 20 is just crazy talk.

Delvo 1/12/04, 3:26 PM EDT
8 or 9 years...I admire your optimism...

sweetjimmyhugs 1/12/04, 3:35 PM EDT
No really, it's in the Bible...
"And he spoketh to the Masses; 'Thou shalt not eat meat on Tuesday, which is fishstick and Mac and Cheese day. And thou who use the foul Windows machines shall perish in the flames posted by the Enlightened peoples who use Macs... Oh and the world is going to end in 2012 so you better get your stuff together.'

Dude, You're going to Hell.

Jonathan 1/12/04, 3:38 PM EDT
Lie: http://www.mac-sucks.com/facts_userfriendly.php
"In fact many applications available don't come with a graphical user interface" In which there are 3 terminal windows. One showing ftp .. easily done in the connect to server menu. *Yawn* anymore you want me to point out or are you done being a retard?

Jonathan 1/12/04, 3:42 PM EDT
And just because I know your going to still be retarded. Here's another the myths page for graphic desing. http://www.mac-sucks.com/myths_graphicdesign.php

Wow, you would be correct it's a true myth the Mac is slower in Photoshop.. oh wait click on the bottom link. *gasp* the G5 wins..

Delvo 1/12/04, 3:42 PM EDT
Thats the best you can come up with?
Low and behold my views of macs have changed, due to enlightenment by some mac guys.mouth thats full of crap...
What about the other 2 windows?

The Truth Hurts....Pony up..

Delvo 1/12/04, 3:49 PM EDT
C'mon man...Don't make this lame...bring input..not insults...

jonathan 1/12/04, 3:51 PM EDT
Other two windows showing your basic ls .. click on any file/folder and hit apple i to get info... last one I can't see.

HTML Samurai 1/12/04, 3:51 PM EDT
I am running Linux on my Mac, and it runs better than any 266 MHz PC with Linux - TRUST ME!

Delvo 1/12/04, 3:59 PM EDT
Ok...fine...But let's live in the now..

Jonathan 1/12/04, 4:01 PM EDT
I am but apparently your not, as that site hasn't been updated in quite some time .. G4's?? Come on man, get with the times sheesh.

sweetjimmyhugs 1/12/04, 4:04 PM EDT
My only question is this: If Windows is so much better than the Mac, why are there so many Mac fan sites that attract angry Windows users that have nothing better to do than play Devil's advocate and trash the Mac and it's users.

Believe me, you won't change the minds of the people who visit this site. We all love Macs, that's why we are here. The bottom line is this: We're HAPPY with our platform. We chose to think outside the window box. I don't feel I need to defend my choice of computer to you or anyone. I love my Mac. I have never had a problem with it, and I will continue to use it until something better comes along and proves itself to me. Until then I'll thank you to leave your arrogance at the door before you come in... and try the fishsticks, they're awesome!

Delvo 1/12/04, 4:05 PM EDT
You're not helping your cause...Theres plenty of G5 info. How about this..

http://spl.haxial.net/apple-powermac-G5/

I'm here for the debate..and the comvincing..and all you're doing is acting the part ...Pony up ..

Jonathan 1/12/04, 4:12 PM EDT
What about this? http://www.top500.org/list/2003/11/

Be sure to check out #3

Loser 1/12/04, 4:15 PM EDT
I can't believe how ignorant this article is.

HTML Samurai 1/12/04, 4:20 PM EDT
"Ok...fine...But let's live in the now.."

Um... OK... I'll try to do just that...

So from what you posted, I trust you have done this, right? You purchased a brand new Dell, and a brand new Mac and put linux on them and ran them side-by-side and tested them and wrote a web page with YOUR results, right?

Delvo 1/12/04, 4:26 PM EDT
Actually .yes..I'm not buying a G5 to test in linux..I have a relative that will allow me to install linux on it..but it's only a dual 1.8..though..I'll have the information posted for you when it's ready...Kernel compiles etc...

As far as that supercomputer stuff goes ..thats great?...?

HTML Samurai 1/12/04, 4:31 PM EDT
Sweet, good luck with it. What Distro are you going to install?

Jonthan 1/12/04, 4:31 PM EDT
Yes, that is quite great as it's off the shelf G5's that anyone can buy. So that site you gave really holds no water as to the performance of the G5.

Delvo 1/12/04, 4:36 PM EDT
As of yet it looks like Mandrake is the most capable out of the box for comparison..

Jonthan...tell that to the guy who made the site..Are you that sure?

HTML Samurai 1/12/04, 4:37 PM EDT
And there are less than half as many as the two ranked "faster" than it.

HTML Samurai 1/12/04, 4:41 PM EDT
Actually, from what I understand, OpenBSD would be better for a comparison, but that is from an OpenBSD lover.

And yes, Jonathan is right. They are off of the shelf systems that only had one card added to them to connect them and create the "super computer." (And a fair amount of RAM added)

Jonthan 1/12/04, 4:45 PM EDT
And for the bargain basement price of $5.2 million

Delvo 1/12/04, 4:54 PM EDT
I don't see where a supercomputer cluster applies to this ...but on that note, where's the true competition? Opterons.

One again a benchmark with the winning computer removed from the equation.

phear 1/12/04, 5:02 PM EDT
This is the flamewar that will never end... Windows has internal archetecture problems, but is a major os that lets me choose my own hardware. Apple is a proprietry(sp) unix platform that is heading in the right direction, but ripping off too much OSS and not puting enough back into it. I'll put my slackware amd64FX against anything... but thats just my opinion. Use what you like.... live it, love it, game on it, the rest is just details from ppl whos idea of computing is sitting in their parents basement to flame others on what they like to use......gfg

Delvo 1/12/04, 5:07 PM EDT
Yeah--I'll back that with my Amd64-Mandrake From MY OWN HOUSE IN MY HOME OFFICE. ON MY DAY OFF.If my wife will let me.

Jonathan 1/12/04, 5:09 PM EDT
Wow, congrats you have your own house, office, and a wife. You are truly superior.

Jonahan 1/12/04, 5:10 PM EDT
Some things are not about Megehertz. the whole point about Rlahamon's article was that some people (many people) want a computer that just plain WORKS. Not talking G5, G4 Opteron, what have you.

The point is that Macs just work, and we love them! Sure, you pay a little more in some cases, but for the peace of mind they bring, it's well worthwhile! Not to mention countless other factors (tons of apps, UNIX features, etc. etc.).

No one here ever said the G5 was faster than such and such "PC" processor, but most of us Mac folks are just happy the G5 is tons faster than the G4 and brings us almost to parity (Megahertz-wise) to the PC world.

Buutttt... if you want to get into specifics, read this:

http://www.barefeats.com/g5op.html

The G5 doesn't beat the Opteron at everything, but it doesn't have to. We love our Macs and that's the point.

You don't have to love Macs, but don't come here and pretend to "enlighten" us. We will only tolerate you for so long.

Oh, and just about everyone on this site loves Linux - absolutely loves it - but for the common person Linux has just not made it to the primetime ( I can see old Granny modifying the conf file for her modem right now) . So let's not get into performance comparisons between Linux and OS X.

Jonahan 1/12/04, 5:13 PM EDT
By the way, it should be "Macs-Suck.com", not "mac-sucks.com". The latter makes it sound like the site's owner likes to suck something.

phear 1/12/04, 5:14 PM EDT
nice... but do you actualy think you can win a flame war with a mac addict???? I've tried for years with this kid.... he doesnt stop, he has a few valid points, but they are mostly opinions... just like everyone elses in this neverending battle..... enjoy what you like.... and enjoy your 64Bit OS (if thats teh version you got) cause that kid cant run anything bigger than 32bit till his master "Mr. Jobs" says its ok to scale higher... ;-p

www.yellowdoglinux.com ... Say what?

Idoru 1/12/04, 5:16 PM EDT
I love all these Mac bashers going to Mac "fan" sites to flame- Why don't you go to a Dell, HP, Sony fan site? Gee I guess no one loves PC's, I can't find any "fan" sites!

Jonathan 1/12/04, 5:32 PM EDT
Because, everyone knows Windows sucks so if there were fansites the people there would be like "yea it sucks we know that, why are you here again?"

Delvo 1/12/04, 5:35 PM EDT
A PC fan site...That would be like a fan site for the toothbrush...

Jonathan 1/12/04, 5:45 PM EDT
Hmm finally something I agree with Delvo on :)

sweetjimmyhugs 1/12/04, 5:46 PM EDT
And with that... we cue the music.

Your mother 1/12/04, 6:09 PM EDT
I really like you guys, and macs are great... Delvo, you suck monkey ass!

iKen 1/12/04, 6:21 PM EDT
I came in to this late... I checked 2 guys to see if there was anything new, and there is an article with 52 comments... damn

anywho...

To Delvo: Shut the hell up, you sound like a whiney little teenager, If you don't like macs (and it's hard to figure out if you do or not, since you said you did, then said you didn't) then don't spend time on a MAC FAN SITE and post about how much macs suck. If you really do have a wife, you should turn off your computer, and go talk to her, she has to be getting lonely from the time (4 hours and 25 minutes between first, and last post) it is taking you to flame here. Besides shouldn't you be updating your virus definitions, or recompiling something? Nerd.

To the rest of you: STOP POSTING BACK TO HIM! Just ignore him... all he wants to do is get us all worked up because he gets a kick out of it, and has no life.

This happens every time we post an article that mentions how much we like our macs, and how much we feel windows is inferior. We give our opinion, and people like delvo slam us for our opinions.

So everyone. Stop. Forget it. You can't convince him that Macs are better, and Delvo you will NEVER convince any of us that windows, or linux is better because you call us liars, and accuse us of spreading propaganda.

And finally to SweetJimmyHugs: Thank you for the view askew reference.

Now, I am tired from a long day at work, so I bid you a good night.

stickman67 1/12/04, 6:23 PM EDT
Sometimes this stuff is fun.

Today I'm tired and sad, and it sucks.

Delvo, haven't you got a life to be getting on with?

And the rest of you! How many times have I told you not to play with your food! Spit him out! Spit him out, I tells ya!

stickman67 1/12/04, 6:25 PM EDT
Whoa! Spooky there, iKen! You and I had pretty much the same thought at the same time!

This stuff really bites sometimes ...

On another day, I'll be in there laying on the Mac stuff with a trowel. But today it just looks like a bunch of kids in a playground arguing over a ball.

titom 1/12/04, 6:31 PM EDT
number 3 self made... that just cracks me up :-)

Squirrel Master 1/12/04, 8:55 PM EDT

Jonahan 1/12/04, 9:19 PM EDT
And in comes the Squirrel Master to set us all straight! Word.

DMF33 1/13/04, 5:48 AM EDT
Great Article. I am celebrating my first anniversary as a switcher and your article hit the nail on the head. I once again enjoy the time I spend at my computer. Happy Days are here again!

Cogz 1/13/04, 9:21 AM EDT
This thread was kinda fun until it turned into a whine/flame-fest.

time to be an adult and get ready for work...

Jonathan 1/13/04, 2:13 PM EDT
What can I say, I was bored at work :)

sweetjimmyhugs 1/13/04, 2:59 PM EDT
Who's an adult now?

Jonahan 1/13/04, 4:16 PM EDT
Hey, we don't want any of those serious adult-types on this site! Geesh. ;)

eL_RuKN 1/13/04, 5:54 PM EDT
Delvo-

First of all, you must have never been formally and properly educated enough (explains alot) to learn of the importance of citing references to "facts" one states when presenting an argument.

Anyway, I'm way too tired from fighting Windows viruses here at work today-and I was hired as a Mac tech but they all work fine-to rebut more on your site but you may want to read this regarding your ridiculous comment about the stability of OS X Server at the bottom of your site:

http://marketwatch-cnet.com.com/2100-1045_3-5137846.html

'Course I don't purport to know anything about Apple China and what they used "up to a month ago". Why don't you act on my advice and start by sharing the source of your info on that one?

Delvo 1/13/04, 10:02 PM EDT
That's not my site Bro...

stickman67 1/14/04, 1:39 AM EDT
Um, Delvo. The "mouseover" on your name says "http://www.mack-sucks.com". Sure you don't mean "http://www.mack-trucks.com", 'cause we all use Macs around here.

Is that your momma calling?

stickman67 1/14/04, 5:36 AM EDT
Delvo, I beg to differ. Put the cursor over your name on your last couple of posts and see what shows up -- it says "http://www.mack-sucks.com". It's a simple typo, easily fixed.

And why do you think we might visit this site every day? Hmm! We use Macs. This is a site full of news and chat about Macs. A lobotomised spider monkey could probably make that leap of understanding.

Mate, you clearly came in here looking for an argument, if not a verbal brawl. Then you got it, and it seems you are now resorting to the kinds of tactics that suggest that you're not enjoying yourself here: hacking off at us, as if you didn't expect *this* sort of thing to happen to innocent little old you. Oh, really? Do yourself a favour and look up "disingenuous" in your dictionary.

And Matt, Matt, Matt. How delightful to see you back. Again. Doing the same old stuff. LOL

The persistence of you guys in the face of a totally biased crowd of the Mac converted that is never, ever going to change its mind, especially based on your arguments (let alone debating techniques), is astonishing.

But keep it up, please. It's a pleasant enough diversion at times.

Delvo 1/14/04, 11:40 AM EDT
This site or someone on it is putting the k in there..not me...

Delvo 1/14/04, 12:20 PM EDT
I'm not looking for a verbal brawl...I'm looking for a Factual backing to

"Odd enough most people who use Windows don’t like using their computer at all. "It's too complicated", or "I can’t get it to do what I want it to do" is what is often said. "

How can you say that?....Thats just a plain old plate full o B$.

Jonathan 1/14/04, 2:21 PM EDT
Well probably most of thoes people saying that are older. In which technology confuses them. You know the kind that keep the blinking 12:00 on the VCR. Thoes are the kinds of people I think he was talking about. Most of your early 30's and below can figure alot of the technology out these days. But some just don't get it, especially windows.

sweetjimmyhugs 1/14/04, 3:50 PM EDT
Is it just me, or does the kid on Delvo's site look like a young Webster? Webster is the Antichrist.

speedyrev 1/14/04, 4:22 PM EDT
whoa, I skip a couple of days and a war breaks out.

Hey Delvo, my first computer was a Commodore 64. I've also owned a PC jr. a 286,386,486......get the picture. I have over 20 years of network experience with MS. I work on both PC's and Macs.

There is no question. If you are talking about productive, non stressful work. Macs win hands down.

Maybe you should factor in crash time in your benchmarks;)

stickman67 1/14/04, 5:24 PM EDT
You didn't look up "disingenuous", did you, Delvo! Tsk, tsk!

Trying to stick to the "facts" in this discussion is a waste of time. Why? Because both sides -- yes, both -- will always find a "fact" that will suit their side of the story. There is no objective reference point here. Truth is relative, and truth is absolute. And if you know what I mean by that, you'll understand why you're wasting your time here.

This is a community of people who simply like to chat about their computers and how they use them, and to have a bit of fun while they're doing so. Which is what we'd like to get on with right now.

Bye bye.

Delvo 1/14/04, 6:16 PM EDT
Wow!you had a Commodore.So what, So did I..

But apparently ..you are all smart and I Am Dumb. So How does your experience ,or anyone else's hold validity over mine?

Stickman why don't you look up "benighted"

Truth Is Truth..What this site does Is Lie...Pure and simple.

Once again I don't care what you use..
But I know I don't need to lie to make myself feel comfortable with my purchases.

stickman67 1/14/04, 10:09 PM EDT
Well done, Delvo. Multisyllabic words. I am deeply impressed.

No one is saying you are dumb. What I'm saying is that it is a dumb thing for you to hang around here wasting your valuable time on people who have no interest in what you have to say, except insofar as it has recreational value -- it gives us an excuse to play silly buggers when we probably all have more important things to be getting on with. Much like your goodly self.

And the fact that you can say, presumably with a straight face, that "Truth is Truth" (with capitals that lend it that credibility that it otherwise might lack) is rather disheartening to me. The world is not black and white, but shades of grey. Hey, let's go wild -- it's a whole big palette of colours out there! As I said, the truth is relative, and the truth is absolute.

And if you don't like "lies", why come here to read them? Well, someone had to ask ... LOL

Squirrel Master 1/14/04, 11:34 PM EDT
Well, might as well through my 2 cents in. First off, who cares this much about which computers better than another. Every single person is going to have their own opinion on which is better due to personal experiences. That is what makes people unique. For example I owned a pc my entire life and recently I purchased a powerbook. If I had to choose one I would go with my powerbook due to all that it offers me for what I do. Now for someone else, they would prefer to use a pc and that is fine. I am not going to lose sleep because someone else is using a pc instead of a mac. I say whatever makes you happy, go with it.

As for people going into other sites to start fights, that is just stupid. There are a lot better things to do in life that do this.

In closing, I say lets all find something better to do than fighting over which computer is superior. Why not trade secrets on how do use a program or OS to its maximum potential, because that is a heck load more productive.

And for the 2 Guys, your site is the bomb, your stories are awesome, you guys are the shiznitz and from the words of a smart man "lets all go to a bar and get drunk!!"

rlhamon 1/14/04, 11:40 PM EDT
My question is this ... why do you care if people that is on this site is bias towards Apple? It's like a Republican going to a Democrat website and say ... "Boy you guy's are sure bias about your views!"
My question to you is this .. "When did Microsoft, Intel, Amd, or Apple ever gave you a paycheck?
If you answered never then I suggest that you quit bickering with people who share the same views and study up and get a job with those company's then come back here and still get blasted for working for one of those company's.
Also ... I betting you still working on a K62 330 mhz "get with the time man" also you never seen a G5 computer also never seen an AMD 64 bit system. So let's end this crap you Little 16yr Old Troll!

I've said my peace and bid you all a good day!

Delvo 1/15/04, 1:44 AM EDT
No...It's more like a non political person going to a political site and saying you guys are full of it...

If no one cares what I'm saying then why is there almost 100 comments in this thread?

Also I'm 27.
Here's my machines

It's funny, you guys think I'm Immature
But I don't recall resorting to personal attacks.

I really don't care that much.In fact I probably care just as much as everyone else typing in here. You bunch of hypocrites .

Speaking for myself, I don't give a fat frog's fart what you say. It really doesn't matter. The fact that you're here at all bothering to say it is what mystifies me. What do you hope to gain?

"Wow, that guy Delvo makes total sense! I'm going to sell my Mac on eBay and buy a PC straight away. PCs must truly rock, dude!"

Hmm! Having trouble with that concept ...

If you don't care, why do you bother?
You're doing the same thing.

Quict acting high and mighty.

This is my community.

Thanks for all the opinions everyone, and sorry that I couldn't focus more attention to these comments.

As moronic, mean, and harsh as Delvo/Matt's comments are, he does have a point. In the article in question apparently the issue is the following statement (correct me if I'm wrong Mr. Delvo):

"Odd enough most people who use Windows don’t like using their computer at all. "It's too complicated", or "I can’t get it to do what I want it to do" is what is often said. "

Delvo's apparent issue is that this is untrue. In the future we will write something to the effect of "I have heard dozens of people exclaim that they dislike using their computers that are running the Windows operating system, and other people who work in the same field as me have heard similar such comments".

Sound better?

For 2 Guys to allow what has been said in the manner it has (I think) has been very nice of us. This is a site where we do, in fact, state a lot of opinion. There's a lot of editing that goes on to make sure we're not telling an outright lie, and if we sliip once in a while, correct us. But don't be a Matt.

Now thanks to everyone's great suggestions, we're going to move on to bigger and better things. In the future if anyone has anything to say in the way that Matt/Delvo has, it will be edited or deleted. If anyone has an issue they think needs to be addressed, you can always email us.

Thanks!

Now I feel bad. Sorry Delvo. I mean that.

Sorry Jonahan.

Just got caught up in the whole thing. Next time I'll just tell a fart joke and leave it at that.

:-(

Nothing was meant towards you, Stickman, you are the man! Your comments are always enlightening and I always enjoy them. Besides, like you said, some days you're more apt to jump into the fray of a flamefest, other days it can seem like heartwrenching bullshiite.

What I said was meant towards the Delvo person, saying that we're outright liars and propagandists, the 3rd Reich, and all that ;)

stickman67 1/16/04, 4:48 PM EDT
Thanks, Jonahan. As ever, you are too gracious to the unworthy among us.

I still feel a bit bad, but probably not for much longer.

And let's be realistic: next time something like this happens I'll probably jump straight back into the fray.

It's a weakness ...

Thanks Jonahan,

Sorry for stinkin' up the site.

Jonahan 1/19/04, 12:30 PM EDT
T'wasn't you guys who stunk, I was just trying to make my point to people who think we're publishing lies. You guys were merely defending the site and the Mac Way! I should have been more specific, as we always always appreciate the great feedback from the Mac community. You guys make this site what it is. Well, that and the crazy naked eskimo we have tied up in the corner of our ice-fishing shanty. He knows Steve's home phone number but he's not telling us... but we'll get it out of him...oh yes we will!!!!!!!!

stickman67 1/20/04, 6:15 PM EDT
It's the 21st century, Jonahan. I don't think you meant to say "crazy naked eskimo". I think you meant to say "mentally ill naturist Inuit person". Hmmmmm?

*Tsk tsk!*

PS: Thanks for the kind words. I *love* this place.
