Clipboard Sharing |
|
If you work with two Macs, as I do, you will find yourself wanting a URL on one computer to be on the other. There are very few ways to do this easily. One way is to have separate iChat accounts on each machine and send messages between them. Another way is to connect one to the other via file sharing and write text files as needed. However, my favorite way is to use ClipboardSharing. With ClipboardSharing, you can send your clipboard to your other machine, or grab your other machine's clipboard.
There are quite a few options built into this slick little program. First of all you have the ability to disable sharing, just incase you are on a network with other Mac users. You also have a history of anything that has been added to your clipboard - if you did it, or Joe down the hall did. Another brilliant feature is the pop-up you get when someone sends you their clipboard or if they grab yours - your clipboard that is. You can enable logging of remote clipboard activity and even setup access rules. I highly recommend checking it out.
But what is the best part of it? It's free. However, if you find yourself using it and liking it, toss dude a bone for writing and maintaining it. He has a PayPal Donate link on his site. Hmm... Maybe I should get one of those.

This program is pretty good as well. There is a bit of work to do on the OS X port, but it is coming along.
