Here are some other names that could make it in:
- Tigon
- Liger
- Cougar
- Sabertooth
So, I figure that will keep Apple set until 2015 but by then something new must be in the works. How about OS XI ? Or maybe just OS 11? And maybe the 11 series will be called Grizzly, Black, Polar, Koala etc. Who knows? It should be interesting none the less.
So, let me hear from you readers, what should 10.5-10.9 be called? And what about your thoughts on OS 11? Should we continue with Roman Numerals, change it to OS X Extreme or go with something else? Tell me what you think.

I say we have 5 different "Modules" for 10.5. Each module has it's own colour. You can buy the base module of the OS and install it and have an OS, but the other modules add features and unite to form one super powerful OS... Voltron!!

Lynx??? isn't that already a deoderant??? it is in australia anyway. there will be another lawsuit saying that potential lynx customers can't find their deoderants and have to go to work smelly, and therefore have been disadvantaged.
too bad.

I'd go for Lynx. It sounds good, works for people around the world, and would get something from here north... maybe a northern theme as well, cool blue, snowy white... or colours of northern summer when the sun doesn't set at all during nights... oh well. But seriously, Lynx sounds good.

Isn't Lynx the name of a text based browser? That might cause some confusion. Although, it might not since it's sorta old.

Much as I wish it weren't I must agree with you. Also, I envision Apple doing a "King of the Beasts"/"King of the Operating Systems" marketing theme.
It will be interesting.

Wouldn't the release dates be
"2005, 2006, 07, 08, 09"?
Since, afterall, Apple updates the OS Every _year_

Think Apple mentioned some time ago that they'll be slowing down their new OS releases after Tiger. They've spend a lot of research $$ over the past few years and are probably heading in new directions now.....oooh the possibilities ("Minority Report" hologram GUI anyone?)

I think it's unfortunate that all of you feel it's necessary to make fun of a company that makes the computers and the OS(es) that we all love and cherish so much. Maybe we can think of better things to make fun of and GROW THE FFFF UP!
And furthermore, please note that I am only kidding.

I bet for an Indian, shooting an old fat pioneer woman in the back with an arrow, and she fires her shotgun into the ground as she falls over, is like the top thing you can do.
