2 days later the debate continues
The recent change in pricing schemes for Apple services has incited a debate that has split the mac community into many different groups. Groups that do not care about the price increases, groups that despise the .mac idea, groups that want an upgrade price for 10.2, and groups that feel 10.2 should be a free upgrade. Whatever group you fall into you all need to realize one thing. Apple is a company that is trying to continue to make money so that they can continue to provide us with innovative products and services to enhance our lives. No matter how much we all whine and complain, we are going to have to pay for iTools and we are going to have to pay for an upgrade to 10.2. The only reasons things like this may change is if some thing functional causes this change. I am also sure of one other thing, these decisions were not made in an hour or even one day. I am sure that Steve did not just walk in one day all pissed off cause some guy with an Apple sticker on his rear window just cut him off in traffic and said we have ungrateful users therefore lets make them pay exorbitant prices for all our services.
I do agree that the prices are a little steep but hey if i want the services I am going to have to pay for them. After all I will probably get 10.2.1 for free.

 Deep Thoughts
I saw the movie the Horse Whisperer last night. Through the whole film I kept wondering where I had heard of this story before. Then it dawned on me. It was a ripoff of an old 70's B-movie called the Snake Whisperer. I think it starred Jerry Lewis. Both movies are exactly the same except that in the Snake Whisperer the main character gets trapped inside a coffin full of snakes and dies.
