 America's Army 2.0 is released
America's Army 2.0 came out today. If you've never downloaded it, I suggest you do. It's a first person shooter based on "Real world" Army combat. (in America anyway) It's a lot of fun, and best of all, it's completely free. The Army sees it as a recruiting tool, and gives it away for free. So as long as you don't get swayed easily by propaganda, download and have fun killing people!

The only thing is, as of right now all the servers are pretty busy. The only server I have had any luck with is FilePlanet(free or paid subscription required) and I still have a 20 minute wait till I can start downloading the file, which is over 600 Mb. [editors note] shortly after posting, I got a link at "Happy puppy" to work, and I am downloading now at 143K

Dont get carried away - The US isn't the only Country with a technologically advanced army! The UK has some nifty Sh*t to you know.

Wasabe 11/26/03, 1:48 PM EDT
well. based on the fact that im running a 56k modem which downloads things at 6kb/sec, i think ill pass on downloading the game for now.

rlhamon 11/26/03, 2:42 PM EDT
Umm.. who do you think UK bought there technology from?

I don't suppose anyone is up for a game of "Let's Forget the Dumb Macho Bullsh*t and Make Worldwide Peace v1.1.2"?

Just a thought ... :-)

Me too! Good call Stickman :)

Wait, do they make that for the Mac? j/k!!!

Awwww! You guys restore my faith in humanity. I came back here, loin girded for battle, expecting a flame war of the most testosterone-fuelled kind, only to find you gentle souls quietly lighting a candle for goodwill. *Sigh!*

Well, gotta fly! Bought a new magnifying glass and have to fry me some ants!

iKen 11/27/03, 10:56 PM EDT
I'm all for world peace, but keep it out of my computer games. :)

Yeah, I don't come to your house and make you dress up in Hello Kitty pajamas and sing kum-by-ya while shaving your head and drinking the "special" Kool-Aid.... perhaps I've said too much... Man, I wish the cult I'm in didn't have such good recruiting computer games.... but then again, who would ever suspect Pong?

HTML Samurai 11/28/03, 8:51 AM EDT
Good call iKen! And keep it outta the "Why I Choose Macintosh Over Windows" comments as well! :)

rlhamon 11/28/03, 2:24 PM EDT
Ummm.... special Kool-Aid make me thirsty.

stickman67 11/28/03, 9:47 PM EDT
Right! The next person to say anything against world peace gets a grenade up the wazoo!

 Deep Thoughts
Most of the time it was probably real bad being stuck down in a dungeon. But some days, when there was a bad storm outside, you'd look out your little window and think, "Boy, I'm glad I'm not out there."
