Apple and Pepsi To Give Away Free Songs AND Dreams!
It seems that Apple and Pepsi are getting really chummy these days, which I guess is bound to happen when one company buys $100 million dollars of another company's product . We're talking of course about the iTunes/Pepsi cross promotion that kicks off during the Super Bowl, where 100 million free songs will be given away. (Incidentally, iPod Garage is tracking the locations of winning bottlecaps if you want to keep tabs or maybe are willing to drive a couple hundred miles to a Pepsi bottle hotspot to improve your odds of winning!)

But today we come to find out that on top of the iTMS promo, Pepsi is also running a contest on their site where you could win an iBook! A freakin iBook! To enter all you have to do is compose an essay on, as Pepsi states, "how winning an iBook could help you accomplish your future goals, whatever they may be" (you'll first have to register on Pepsi's site though).

Apparently the essay contest is loosely tied to the fact that February is Black History Month. We're not sure how, or if you actually have to be black (or a black female for that matter) to enter, but even if you're not, you might as well enter. What have you got to lose!?

So get crankin' on that essay! And keep in mind it's all about how an iBook can help you reach your future goals.

Don't know what to write about, you say? Well enter MacDailyNews, who on Wednesday pointed out an article at The Register that gives us a great idea! According to the article, the FBI has a hard time recovering data from seized Macs - they ship 'em off to the Canadian Mounties (who apparently use Macs!?). An FBI official actually states that "If you're a bad guy and you want to frustrate law enforcement, use a Mac."

So there ya go - just tell Pepsi you plan on using the iBook to further your criminal career. Just make sure theft of Pepsi bottles isn't mentioned.

I have only one question (apart from when the @#*! is Apple going to get iTMS up and running in the Antipodes):

When is Apple going to cut a similar deal with Guinness?

Mmmmmmm! Guinesss ... Aaaaaarghle!

MMMMM Guinness ....

That's sure to stoke the brain cells for writing the essay. Speaking of which, I'd beter do it b4 I forget ;)

Most people don't realize that large pieces of coral, which have been painted brown and attached to the skull by common wood screws, can make a child look like a deer.
