 2 Guys Speaks With Intego
Intego, makers of the higly popular OS X "Virus Barrier" software proudly introduced the first Mac OS X trojan this week. Dubbed "MP3 Concept", it's a proof of concept trojan horse wherein a trojan can disguise itself as a regular OS X file, such as an MP3. Intego first let users know of it by sending thousands of people an email that looked like spam, but in reality was a very important missive crafted to let Mac users know of the dangers of the trojan.

Many people were quick to accuse Intego of being in it just "for the money", so Intego soon after sent another "spam-type" email to thousands of people, stating "We don't believe in
waiting until the damage occurs, unlike some of our competitors", and made sure to append information on where their Virus Barrier software can be purchased.

When questioned further about the trojan, Intego had this to say (and this is the part where we put words into the mouth of somebody at Intego): "We are psyched to be able to deliver the first OS X trojan. We hope to soon be able to discover all sorts of great viruses and worms as well. It's time OS X stepped into 21st century and started to catch up to all the great things Windows has to offer, and Intego will be instrumental in making that happen. Oh, and please go out and get yourself a copy of Virus Barrier".

We then tried to leave but Intego's CEO tried to pawn off several copies of Virus Barrier on us. "Hey do you think you guys could put up some banners for Virus Barrier? There's a free copy of Virus Barrier in it for ya!". We managed to escape by throwing some change in the corner and then taking off. While running (ok ok, walking fast) through the halls of the great software company we had to elude laser (pointer) tripwires, trained attack hounds (miniature pinschers), and Intego's deadliest servants, man-sized Virus Barrier-package mascots who were throwing frozen fishsticks at us (those things HURT man!).

We escaped unscathed for the most part (slightly thirsty and a bit sore from the unaccustomed exercise), and are proud to be able to bring you this broundbreaking bt of journalism. So like....anyone want a free copy of Virus Barrier?

These guys have been learning their trade from politicians. Is this trojan horse also known as the Saddam virus? And Dubya a former member of the Intego board of directors?

You guys just stole that picture from Douglas Adams' books! How could you do that?! At least give the man some credit! That's right, people, that smiling green face comes from the covers of Douglas Adams' amazing series, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. You should read that. It's a great read.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

 Deep Thoughts
Contrary to what most people say, the most dangerous animal in the world is not the lion or the tiger or even the elephant. It's a shark riding on an elephant's back, just trampling and eating everything they see.
