Public Service Announcement From Da 2 Guys |
|
As you can see there have been a few changes to the site. Most notably is the presence of advertising - something probably pretty odd-looking on this site! Long time readers will know that we've never been about money, so before you start calling us "Mike Rowe", er... I mean "sell out", know that we're doing it for the good of the site.
The site has been pretty slow (running off of either a cable or wireless connection since it's inception) and lately we've had several outages. Plus with the rise of traffic to 2 Guys we feel it's time we came up wth a way to get more bandwidth, hence the ads and the donate button.
Speaking of which, if you can donate, then we'd appreciate it - even a buck or two. And we don't expect people to start buying stuff today through our banners, but at some point if you're going to buy something from amazon.com or one of our other affiliates anyway, maybe just think of us and click through our banner first to buy it!
Ok before I start sounding like Goldie on PBS I'll wrap this up. ("Sponsors at the $100 level get a free fishstick and a set of 2 Guys' sporks!")
So thanks to everyone for your support and contributions to the site! I think we've really made something of the place and done more than we intended to do originally, which was spread the truth about Macs, get some switchers, and have a whole lot of fun while doing so!
Peace. |

perosnally i dont mind the ads... as long as there off to the side, never a pop up and there pertinent to the mac. which is why im here to learn about the mac! should they become not mac oriented or the equivalent of spam the level of annoyance will go up as it should. As it is now it's hardly noticeable. is it possible to have a link on the side called ads with nothing but ads? that would make money and if it isnt pertinent to the mac it would also make some money!

Before I donate I need to know a few things.
1: How fresh is the fishstick?
2: Are the sporks the cheap plastic you get from KFC, or are they made of a highr quality / less smelly plastic?
3: Where are my pants? I had them when I left the house this morning...

Answers:
1. Depending on shipping times the fishstick will be pulled out of the freezer right before we send it to you. If we send it UPS ground it should take 5-7 days. So it should be reasonably fresh when it reaches you. Depending on how smelly you like them. :)
2. We don't give away cheaply made trinkets to our fans. We will test and use each individual spork before it is sent out. We do not want to be called the guys that give out crap. We do have a reputation to uphold. Geez.
3. As for your pants, we told you. We're not gay, quit asking. But you could always ask the pants gnomes. They are quite wicked when they see pants they want.
