Hmm... the HD in my iPod is shot, and their program doesn't mention anything about that. Unless "Good working condition" means the hard drive should work ;)
Actually, Jonahan helped me find a site that sells what looks to be the same HD as the iPod, so I'm going to (Carefully) crack it open and see exactly what HD is in there. :-o

Be careful. You might want to do some looking around (Chris Breen's book?) I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is something going on with the harddrive that doesn't allow you to change it. Wierd partitioning, formatting or something. I don't remember.....

Oh, I only got my 15GB in April, but I took a trip to the Apple Store today, and I really want a Click Wheel version. Time to get a job.

ZackMac: Doh, I meant Jonathan, or J.P., who also goes by Jonahan. It can get confusing ;)
nhmacusr: Cool, I'll poke around. I get this clicking though when I start it up so I'm fairly sure it's shot.
Charlie: Agreed on the click-wheel version. I'd even like a black U2 iPod, I could do w/o the extra charge for their music though.

The dreaded click of death. I've heard it in many hard drives. Yes, the drive is probably shot. What I was alluding toward in my other post is that I remember reading somewhere that there was something going on with the drive that prohibited you from just slapping in a new one. I don't remember what it was. At any rate, good luck!

When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it's not, mmmmmmm, boy.
