 Damn that's expensive!!
OK. So this summer I went to New York. I took my iBook along with me, cause I wanted it to see the "Big Apple" and get the cultural expearience you can only get in new york. Namely: Being able to buy a not-yet-released dvd of some movie a block away from ground zero.

But thats beside the point. The point is, that one day my iBook was mugged by two really big guys.

Actually it fell out of its bag and hit the ground. Hard too. Nothing too serious broke. Except for the latch.

So now my iBook won't close all the way. Just to the point where it goes to sleep.

I want it fixed, and have neglected to do so. I went home this weekend from my military school to find a letter from AppleCare saying that my subscription has expired.

Then I go to the Apple site and see how much it might cost to get the latch fixed. Here is the site:
iBook repair

I think mine would fall under tier 1 or 2. $333! jeez. If anyone would like to give me suggestions on a cheaper method to fix the latch, pleeeease feel free to. I don't got that kinda money.

k. ive decided to just open the damn thing and fix it myself. all that broke was the tip of the latch that hold the hook. My plan is to open up the laptop, super glue the tip back on, and hope for the best.

If the glue doesn't work, look on ebay for the replacement part. You might have to buy more then just that part, but it'll still be cheaper then paying a pro. You can also buy a repair CD from ebay for cheap. Good luck.

 Deep Thoughts
I bet the main reason the police keep people away from a plane crash is they don't want anybody walking in and lying down in the crash stuff, then, when somebody comes up, act like they just woke up and go, "What was THAT?!"
