For those of you who stay away from adding more core system options, this isn't for you.
While trying to delete Apple Remote Desktop (which is a maniacal pain in the ass if you've never done it), I found out that you can add a ton of different menus to the upper right hand corner of your menu bar.
Use Find, search for anything that is .menu and go to town. Just double click on it and it will add it to your bar.
Let me know if you find anything else cool.

So how would one get RID of stuff in the upper right menu bar that you no longer want to be there?

Simply search for the same .menu, then trash it. You will most likely have to be logged in as the root user to do so. Although, once trashed, you may be SOL to ever add them again.

Um, how about taking the file, copying it to a FWHD, and then trashing it? Then you can add it later if you want.

Yeah, or you could just copy it out of the location as well. That SHOULD work too.

Some of them you can Apple-click and drag them out of the menu bar - they do that 'poofy' thing like when you drag stuff out of the dock. I don't know why you can't do it to some things though (Searchling and Synergy are two that I can't drag out).

You can't drag some things out because they're not proper menu extras (which OSX does not make accessible) they're just sort of masquerading as menu extras.
