2 Guys Ditches the Dells and is Back to the Mac
OK, what in the hell happened? When we got in to work this morning the place was a huge mess. Party hats everyhwere, pizza boxes all over the place, floppy disks haphazardly strewn about, even various articles of clothing covering the computers. Speaking of which, horror of all horrors, there were freakin' DELL'S where our Macs had been!

We can't explain it just yet, but there's that vague feeling of embarrasment from something we did that we can't remember. Although the memories hang there on the edge of our minds, just eluding our grasp. Did we.... did we really .... use DELL's?

Oh .... my ... god.

What started out as a juvenile April Fool's prank somehow turned into some nightmarish thing beyond our wildest imagining. We apologize to everyone who witnessed the proceedings. We love Macs and never meant any harm. Macs are way better than Dells, especially ones with Windows installed on them. (* shudder *)

The only thing we can think of to explain what happened is this empty keg of green beer, left over from St. Patty's day. I'm now being told that the green beer didn't actually have green food coloring, which also explains a few things, including the mind-numbing headache I have right now and a Leprechaun named Frank who I've gotten quite familiar with.

We've gotten things cleaned up for the most part, and the Macs are back in place, chugging away on the folding@home screensaver, the Dells have been properly disposed of, and we're ready to get back at it. So again, our apologies to the 3 viewers left out there, and we'll do our damned-est to bring you all the cutting-edge (Apple) news, juiciest (Apple) rumors, and idiotic (umm... Apple?) ramblings that we're infamous for.

You mean I was using a Dell!! I thought it was odd waking up this morning with women underwear on but hearing that I was using a Dell Computer is way to waco!

Tom Boucher 4/5/04, 7:15 PM EDT

I was recently pondering the meaning of the term "non sequitur", and it occurred to me that when I was a child I had a horse.

So glad you guys are back to normal.

Must go. I'm expecting a parcel any day now.

That was so dumb.

Nefarious 4/6/04, 11:09 AM EDT
For faster Folding@Home, switch from the screensaver to the Folding CLI with some nice scripts in the MacAddict "Folding" forum.

stickman67 4/6/04, 8:11 PM EDT
Please don't call me dumb, Nick.

My Dad used to call me dumb.

My Dad is now an unemployed former real-estate salesman living in Queensland and trying to write a novel.

So you see, it might pay to heed my warning!

Zippy 4/6/04, 9:21 PM EDT
YOW!

Did I miss something? I just woke up from one of those NyQuil induced naps... It's still 1998, right?

adam jackson 4/7/04, 4:04 PM EDT
thank you fo being back. it is so nice to get back to normal

Jonahan 4/7/04, 8:47 PM EDT
Thanks Adam, we're feeling much better, but maybe not for long if sweetjimmyhugs still has any of that Nyquil left......

SniffDog, the green guy is actually the "mascot" of Douglas Adam's trilogy of books, the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". We use it as the symbol for an article that falls into the humor category (or just doesn't fit anywhere else). Actually it kinda sorta means "Don't Panic".

To see him debased so on a porn site is... well... almost sort of fitting!

 Deep Thoughts
I think a new, different kind of bowling should be "carpet bowling." It's just like regular bowling, only the lanes are carpet instead of wood. I don't know why we should do this, but my God, we've got to try something!
