Review - OnyX |
|
If you've ever used MacJanitor, you're going to love OnyX - it's basically MacJanitor on steroids. It has all the same little scripts MacJanitor does, and then some.
Basically, it will let you edit some appearance features, much like TinkerTool does. It will run the daily, monthly and yearly scripts like MacJanitor, plus it will optimize the system, repair permissions, optimize the system, and update the Locate and Whatis databases, all with one little button.
"OnyX, cleanup on aisle Library, cleanup on aisle Library"
Another key feature is that you can make everything do it's cleanup on a schedule, be it weekly, monthly, what have you. It also combines a log viewer, something called Man Pages (I don't know either, don't ask me...) and it will give you detailed system info, from the codename of the operating system to the Kernel.
Anyway, to get to my point of WHY you should use this, it's worth using because:
a) It's FREE
b) It's easy to use
and..
c) It combines several different applications all into one.
So go and download it now at http://www.titanium.free.fr/english.html :-) |

Cool, nice review. "Man" is an old-school UNIX command to see the manual pages for other commands. F'rinstance, in the Terminal type in "man ping" and you'll get a description of what a ping is. Type 'q' to quit out of man.
Man, man is one manly command. You dig, man?

I thought the Man pages were where you could see pictures of naked men... at least that's what rlhamon told me.

Yes, but only in ASCII art. You won't even guess what the forward slash is used for... oh wait.. yeah good guess.
