This Week on iTMS |
|
We're trying to stay hip here at 2 Guys. We're listening to new music and dressing different. Our Mom's say we are cool, but the homeless still say we are losers. In an attempt to look cooler, we are going to take a weekly look at what's happening in the iTunes Music Store and give it the serious looking at that only 2GAMAAW can provide.
The free song this week is "Gotta Get Up From Here" by Ellie Lawson who is, in my and the guy who wrote her review on iTMS's opinion, an Alanis Morrisette clone. It's not a bad song, just a bit unoriginal. If you like cookie-cutter pop music, you'll like this song. And hey, it's free.
The most downloaded song this week is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day. I highly recommend buying this song. Not only is it a good endeavor by a band who made it with an album called "Dookie", but people will think you are cool if you sing along while walking down the street by yourself.
Also in the news is Version 2.0 of the iTMS-Pepsi cross promotion looming in the not-so-distant future. Word around these parts is that bottles with the shiny yellow caps are already popping up. More info is available over at iPod Garage.
We'll try a little harder next time. You know, actually do some research and grammar checking and such. We did manage to put together an iMix for your listening pleasure. You can find it here. Please don't make fun of our taste in music, it's all we have left.
