As reported by The Inquirer, Microsoft V.P. S. Somasegar said Windows Server 2003 "took a much longer time because we did the right thing on security and reliability." The article goes on to speak about the security problems and bugs in their past OSes. Really? Security problems in a Microsoft OS? No!
We'll soon see what the results are of an extra year of testing and fixing bugs in Redmond. According to Microsoft execs, the security problems and millions of bugs in the previous versions of Windows were due to premature release...that's more than I ever wanted to know about Mr. Gates' private life!

The "Right" thing, from MS's point-of-view, is to just make a better, more improved version of Windows Update that can download security patches more easily. "Forget making it work correctly and securely the first time, we'll just patch it later!"
