 Mitnick's Parole Ends
Kevin Mitnick, the infamous hacker, is finally a free man. According to a story on CNET.com, Mr. Mitnick's probation period ended this Tuesday. Terms of his probation had prevented computer and Internet access, and his 'coming out' party was televised on TechTV's 'ScreenSavers'. The article goes on to say what Kevin is up to these days, who he's dating, blah blah blah blah. The cool part is at the very bottom of the story where it states that he plans on buying a 17" PowerBook.

That's all well and good of itself - any former hackers are gladly welcomed into the Macintosh community, especially infamous ones - but it gets even better. 'The Woz' is apparently close, personal friends with 'The Mit', and as a Wired article points out, got his good buddy TWO, count 'em, TWO 17" PowerBooks to celebrate the occasion.

Two 17" Powerbooks. Man. I don't know whether to go hunting for some really cool friends that buy their pals Powerbooks, or become a hacker and spend 4 years in jail and then a few more without any electronic devices whatsoever. Or, um...I suppose I could just save my money and buy a Powerbook, but where's the fun in that?
