Get 'em while they're hot! Apple finally released iPhoto 2 and iMovie 3 for download! You can also get them via Software update.

For those that don't know, iPhoto 2 and iMovie 3 are two pieces of Apple's iLife package, which you can buy online or at an Apple Store. iLife also includes iDVD 3 and iTunes 3.

iLife had been rumored to be 'pay for', but Mac users angered over having to pay for Jaguar and .Mac seemingly convinced Apple that is was "nickle and diming it's users to death". iDVD 3 is the only piece of the iLife package not available for download. Apple claims this is because of the huge file size (300MB+).

Probably a smart move by Apple to make most of iLife a free download - but remember that we (as Mac users) may not get too much for free from Apple in this downturned economy. Apple realizes they need to make money and is doing everything possible to do that. They walk a very fine between keeping the Mac faithful happy, getting new 'Switchers', and being a successful company that actually makes money.

Whoa. Sorry - I actually started making somewhat intelligent Apple industry commentary and reporting. My bad. Let me end on a not-so-intelligent note by saying:
Zebra-monkey poop throwing is fun! Hats are good but better when they're on fire! I like to punch myself in the kidneys as I dance around subway terminals with no pants while eating fish sticks! And finally ....

(CAUTION - don't go here if you have a faint heart or are easily disgusted by stuff.)

I like to rate other people's poo!!!!!

 Deep Thoughts
As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.
