New iPods Tuesday! Um...Again! |
|
It seems like just about every Mac-related site cried wolf about new iPods last week. Yes, this site also fell victim to the "Oooooo ooo ooo Apple's gotta release SOMETHING this week" disease. But heck, can you blame us? The iPod was (er, still is) ripe for updating, and Apple was steamrolling through this winter by rolling out three straight product updates in as many weeks.
And while there really hasn't been any more "actual" evidence that iPods with larger hard drives will be coming out this Tuesday, there also hasn't been any evidence to refute it. Besides, MacDailyNews and LoopRumors.com both point to a Forbes article that kinda sorta mentions stuff about the iPod. The article confirms that there is indeed a 40GB drive that could go in the new iPods. It also says that "Neither Apple nor Toshiba has said anything about either the iPod or the existence of the drive". Hmmmmmm?!?? Yeah...and they didn't deny it either. And that's not all. The article also says that "the timing would be right". Wow. Now if all that is not proof enought to convince you, then ponder this last snippet from that article:
"...it will happen on a Tuesday".
If there's been a more bullet-proof case for a product intro, then I sure as heck haven't seen it.
You heard it here first (or well, closer to 32nd) - you can bet the bank on an iPod update tomorrow. Then take that money, go to a Casino, and bet it all on red. If you win, send me some money, so I can buy an iPod. If you lose...um....er...I....hey quick - look over there, It's Zamfir, the master of the pan-flute! (* skedaddle *) |

I wish scientists would come up with an ear of corn that was big and round, because then when you were eating it, it'd be fun to make chew marks in the shape of continents.
